The historic region in southwestern Ukraine, spread between the rivers Prut, Dnister, Danube mouth, and the Black Sea. Bessarabia has solar power plants, a tomato cluster, and the mighty Akkerman fortress and the large estuary lake Yalpug, attracting numerous tourists annually.
